Our Review:
The Momentus Swing Trainer has been around for awhile and there is a reason for that. It’s useful.
This swing trainer is a weighted club. It’s weight is very noticeable. It’s remarkably heavy. This weight is what forces you to feel the momentum wax and wane throughout the swing.
In addition, the handle of the club has a molded grip. This grip is designed to put your hands in the correct formation on the shaft.
Pros and Cons:
This club will help you with strengthening mostly. The weight is pretty significant, so you can’t over-swing. This is a good thing. It’s great for warming up and getting your flexibility going. Also, it’s great to be able to actually hit balls with. The molded grip is really helpful, especially for beginners. It give you a good guide for the correct hand positions.
However, the club isn’t going to fix your swing like the Medicus or some of the other training aids. Also, if you are an experienced golfer, the grip can be an annoyance. Then again, everyone can benefit from re-visiting the fundamentals.
Overall, this is a good swing training to add to your repertoire. Whether in your garage or directly into your bag, it serves it’s purpose well.
